Mango doesn't care for the recession

As a quality professional I’ve recognised that in times of recession the first thing companies overlook or let slip is their compliance programs.  This is human nature as many companies view these activities as a cost.

Bad work habits creep in, normal checks are overlooked, safety is compromised and companies start re-inventing processes on the fly as they try to secure work or push out product or services.

What normally happens is accidents start to occur, waste goes up, customer satisfaction falls and the bottom line is affected.

This is where products like Mango come to the fore.  These products enable companies to maintain their systems whilst removing costly duplication and bureaucracy and most importantly the customer is kept happy.

Mango and products like Mango are recession proof.

Improving Quality Improves Productivity

One of the most frustrating parts of being involved with Quality Management, as a Quality Professional and Senior Auditor for over 20 years, is that fact that Senior Management doesn't have an understanding that by improving quality they will increase the productivity of their organisation.

Quality Management seems to be “tarred with a brush” that improving quality increases costs and therefore reduces productivity.  Output at any cost seems to win over output with good quality every time.

A Quality management system is in place to reduce WASTE.  Managers don’t seem to understand waste in their organisations.  Waste needs to be the enemy NOT quality.  Target waste … reduce waste … minimise waste … do anything to remove waste ….
